House Information
HEATING
We aim to have the house warm before you arrive. The heating is timed and thermostatically programmed please do not alter the controls'
If you do find the temperature uncomfortable, please message us and we will adjust it remotely
There are also two electric 'wood-burning effect' stoves; please use these for secondary heat. The light can be left on for effect without the heat.
Please do not leave them on when you go out or go to bed. Please switch them off if you feel the need to open a window
HOT WATER
We hope you have sufficient hot water for your stay, if this is a problem please let us know. When using the shower, you may need to switch it on just on right outside the door and/or the pull cord as you enter the bathroom
TV
The TV in the lounge is via Amazon Fire stick. if you cant get a signal pklease check that the correct HDMI is selected.
Don't forget to log out of any of your apps
The main bedroom TV is via an aerial
WASHING
We have provided washing powder for the machine and there is a washing line in the rear garden.
RUBBISH
There are three methods of waste disposal; the recycled elements can go in the appropriate bins next to the washing machine and non-recycled go in the grey bin in the kitchen. Any paper or cardboard can be left in the utility area.
GARDEN FURNITURE
If the garden furniture is not already out for you (weather permitting), you can find it in the garden shed in the rear garden.
LINEN
We do have spare linen and towels, but please only ask if necessary and we can provide them.
ENTRY
Please enter the Farmhouse via the side door if you have muddy boots or wet paws
DOG GUESTS
We may switch the cushions, throws and rugs to protect the more vulnerable ones from dogs, so the exact furnishings may differ from the photos.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING.
Sorry, but we do not allow smoking in our properties
Dog Info
Dogs should be a minimum of 6 months old at the time of your holiday.
Please clean up after your dog(s) - both inside and out. We ask that all dog poop is bagged and binned -poo bags and bins are provided.
Please check the garden and clean up any dog poop, and be extra vigilant if your dog is likely to mark walls/furniture and clean immediately in order to minimise damage and staining
Please keep your dog(s) off the furniture and from going upstairs (there is a door separating the upstairs). However, we do try to be flexible and recognise some dogs like to sleep near their owners.
Dogs are only allowed in bedrooms on a dog bed or in a crate if this has been previously discussed with us and you have agreed to bring your own bed linen.
We reserve the right to invoice guests if any bedding requires extra cleaning or if it is damaged/ stained and needs replacing.
Please do not allow muddy, wet dogs within the Farmhouse.
Please do not leave the doors open for dogs to run in and out if it is wet/muddy conditions outside. Wash down thoroughly - and please keep dog(s) in the boot room until they are clean and dry. Some dog towels are provided.
We ask that dogs are not left alone in the house for long periods of time. If you do need to leave the dog(s) alone it must only be for a short period of time and only if you are confident that your dog(s) will settle in a strange place or if they are happy within a crate.
We would prefer that they are left in the boot room. There is plenty of space to set up a crate in there.
If you know the dog(s) can be destructive when left alone, or if they suffer from separation anxiety, please DO NOT leave them unsupervised under any circumstance. It's just not fair on your dog(s) (or on us if they cause damage).
If your dog(s) causes any damage, please report it to us immediately; the damage will be assessed and the lead guest will be sent photo evidence and invoiced appropriately. Any invoice must be paid within 7 days.
